Over the years, Tour-Maubourg has established himself as a defining voice in France's electronic music landscape. After several notable EPs, his debut album “Paradis Artificiels” (2020) earned him critical acclaim and millions of streams.

He confirmed this status with his “Floating On SIlence” EP (2022), now considered an underground classic.

His second album, Spaces of Silence (2023), exploring his tinnitus as a conceptual foundation, received critical success.

In 2024, The Panorama Sessions represented an organic exploration of his signature tracks, with live musicians.

His latest EP, “Dreams”, amassing millions of streams within months, cemented his status as an essential figure in the up and coming jazz-house scene he helped pioneer through his early works.

Benedict is a UK based DJ, producer and promoter whose sound is rooted in the deep, soulful lineage of Chicago House.

Inspired by the Prescription Records legacy, he has steadily built a reputation for refined, groove-led sets and emotive productions that balance dancefloor energy with musical depth.

His catalogue spans respected labels including Surface, Freerange, Hudd Traxx and Detroit’s Kolour, reflecting a long-standing commitment to quality underground house.

After releasing his first solo project at just 19, Benedict has continued to evolve both behind the decks and in the studio. Recent self-released EPs and singles have marked a confident return to production, earning support while reinforcing his signature blend of warm basslines, classic house swing and modern Berlin influence.

As a DJ, Benedict has become a regular presence on discerning European floors, with notable appearances in Berlin at Sisyphos and Golden Gate, where his patient, journey-driven approach has resonated strongly with late-night crowds.

Alongside his DJ work, he co-founds and curates the Machine Soul party, championing deep house culture in the North of England and beyond.

With momentum building across both his productions and international bookings, Benedict continues to establish himself as a trusted selector for discerning underground crowds.

ADAM Audio H200 Headphones – How I Use Them in My Studio

ADAM Audio recently sent me their new H200 closed-back headphones to check out, and I've been using them for pretty much everything I do in the studio — producing music, recording Deeper Shades Of House, listening to promos, and during my Promo Tuesdays live streams.

After using them for a few weeks, I made a video showing how I've been using them and what I think about them.

Comfortable Even After Hours of Listening

Right out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how solid the H200s feel. They're sturdy, they feel professional, and they're very comfortable.

Bringing back my Promo Tuesdays live streams gave me a pretty good way to really test them. I go through pretty much all the new promos I've received, which can mean four or five hours of listening. The H200s sounded really good and, more importantly, they never became tiring.

One feature I also really like is that you can connect the cable to either the left or right side. My interface sits to my left, so that's where I plug them in. It sounds like a small thing, but it keeps the cable from constantly running across my body when I'm working.

ADAM Audio Headphone Utility

The other part I was really curious about was the software that comes with the H200s.

The ADAM Audio Headphone Utility works as an Audio Unit or VST plugin, so I loaded it up in Logic Pro and tried it while working on one of my tracks.

The Externalization feature makes the extreme left/right separation you normally get with headphones feel much more like you're sitting in a room listening to speakers. There's also a Pure setting for a more neutral response when mixing and ADAM Audio's UNR setting, which adds a little more punch and color.

I go through all of that in the video and you can see my reactions while I'm trying the software.

After using the H200s for the past few weeks, I can definitely recommend them. They sound great, they're comfortable even after hours of listening, and I really like having the software available when I'm working on music.

Win a Pair of ADAM Audio H200 Headphones

ADAM Audio also gave me another pair to give to one of you.

Enter here: deepershades.net/h200

You have until September 28, 2026 to enter.

Good luck and keep it deep!
Lars Behrenroth
